Comcast NBCUniversal has announced its intent to create a new publicly traded company ('Versant') comprised of most of NBCUniversal's cable television networks, including USA Network, CNBC, MSNBC, Oxygen, E!, SYFY and Golf Channel along with complementary digital assets Fandango, Rotten Tomatoes, GolfNow, GolfPass, and SportsEngine. The well-capitalized company will have significant scale as a pure-play set of assets anchored by leading news, sports and entertainment content. The spin-off is expected to be completed during 2025.
Job Description
The Legal Administrative Assistant will play a key role in a collaborative, team-oriented environment, supporting the International Networks & Direct-to-Consumer (DTC) Latin America business. Reporting to the Sr. Manager, Business & Legal Affairs, this highly organized and detail-oriented professional will provide essential administrative support across Advertising Sales, Marketing, Digital Editorial, Original Productions, Public Relations, and Affiliate teams, as well as the broader Latin America Business & Legal Affairs Team. This position requires a self-starter with strong written and verbal communication skills, excellent problem-solving abilities, and comfort working with legal language, business entities, and data systems.
Experience in project management, and legal support, is highly valued.
Qualifications
Responsibilities:
- Contracts Management: Oversee the contract execution process, including inputting agreements into the document management system, securing necessary approvals, coordinating signatures with internal and external stakeholders, calendaring contract expiration dates, distributing fully executed contracts, and ensuring all documents are properly saved in the legal repository.
- Legal Budget & Vendor Management: Support legal budget processes by managing accruals, reviewing and approving invoices with respective attorneys, overseeing vendor payments and onboarding, and ensuring timely payment of outside counsel fees.
- Compliance Support: Track and input all gifts and entertainment provided to clients or received by NBCU employees into the internal system. Assist with onboarding and periodic refreshes of intermediaries in accordance with NBCUniversal’s policies and procedures.
- Reporting & Documentation: Generate legal contract reports (e.g., contract expirations, attorney assignments, related party transactions) and fulfill other reporting requests. Upload fully executed agreements to SharePoint or other repositories as requested. Ensure timely filing of affiliate agreements from JV partners in Brazil and Latin America.
- Corporate Filings: Coordinate with NBCU Corporate Legal to maintain up-to-date corporate filings for each entity and track renewals of powers of attorney.
- Stakeholder & Team Support: Work closely with internal stakeholders to provide documents for client onboarding, liaise with business teams to send requested contracts, and support the team with requests related to the legal document management system.
- Other Duties: Perform additional assignments as requested by the supervisor.
Basic Requirements:
- Licenciatura in Business Administration, Law or a related field.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in a legal, contracts, or paralegal role.
- Fluency in English and Spanish; Portuguese is a plus.
- Must be willing to work in Buenos Aires on a hybrid schedule, generally contributing from the office a minimum of four days per week.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
- Analytical, problem-solving, and presentation skills.

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with experience collaborating across teams and with clients.
