The Position: This a full-time, remote position. The Senior Tax Associate will be responsible for delivering high quality client deliverables while providing expert service and support. You will serve a variety of small businesses, understand their needs, and deliver insights to help drive improved results. As a key member of our tax team, you will have an integral role in managing client workflows and growing the firm. This role also includes the potential to develop new service offerings and technology automations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Be a point of contact for small business clients, answering applicable questions, providing insight into their business, and offering a high level of service while meeting key deadlines
- Review business (S Corporation, partnership, and C Corporation) and business owner tax returns
- Prepare / review detailed tax plans and advise on tax planning strategies for small businesses
- Review quarterly tax estimates
- Work with and develop relationships with clients using video platforms and recording tools such as Loom
- Respond to tax notices received and coordinate with IRS and states on behalf of small business clients
- Leverage the latest technology to automate repeatable tasks and optimize workflow and client results
Other Duties:
- Assist in onboarding, internal process improvements, and other internal initiatives
Qualifications:
- 4-year accounting degree required
- CPA Preferred
- 2+ years in Public Accounting preferred
- Experience preparing and/or reviewing business and individual tax returns, quarterly tax estimates, and tax plans
- Experience with or interest in working directly with small business owners
- Detail oriented with strong understanding of tax and accounting principles
- Strong verbal and written communication skills to effectively explain financial concepts to clients
- Forward-thinking – Strong interest in learning and applying new tools and technologies
- Ability to solve problems in a fast-paced and rapidly growing environment
- Familiarity with QuickBooks Online, Intuit ProConnect, Fathom, and advanced Excel skills a plus

Compensation:
$15-$20 USD per hour
