OverviewAlabama Solutions is looking for a Lead Engineer to support a key account at its international business unit (HNDevs).
Lead engineers will have the opportunity to make full-stack contributions, while having an outsized impact and ownership of the architecture and stack choices.
This role also involves mentoring and leading other engineers.This is a contractor ) full-time position, and we do not accept C2C candidates.
The position is open for Uruguay and Argentina (preferably but not exclusively to Buenos Aires and the Montevideo Area).
Our client's projects typically involve building using React/Typescript on the frontend and Node.js/NestJS/Typescript on the backend.
Often,



faced challenges involve working with various APIs and LLMs.Candidate is expected to be savvy at agentic coding as a way to amplify and enhance our productivity (non-negotiable requirement).
Fluent to native English is a must (C1+ and above) as well as native level Spanish.ResponsibilitiesContribute as a full-stack engineer with ownership of architecture and stack decisions.Mentor and lead other engineers on the team.Work with React/Typescript on the frontend and Node.js/NestJS/Typescript on the backend.Engage with APIs and LLMs to deliver product features.Adopt agentic coding tools to amplify productivity.QualificationsMust Have:Six (6) or more years of relevant experience.Fluent in native English.Native-level Spanish.Four (4) or more years of experience working with Typescript + Node.js on the backend.Four (4) or more years of experience working with Typescript + React on the frontend.Solid experience working with agentic coding tools such as Cursor, Claude, or others.Experience working in a 100% remote setting.Two (2)



years or more of experience working with a US/Canada/UK-based startup.Team player mentality and well-developed soft skills.Nice to Have:Eight (8) or more years of relevant experience.Two (2) years or more of experience working with React.Experience with developing well-structured APIs, Typescript, and/or NestJS.Experience working with LLMs.Some experience in managing teams or a willingness to develop those skills.Note: Asia, Africa, and Europe-based talent won't be considered at this time.BenefitsSalary aligned with the expectations (contingent on regional benchmark).
