Disney Media & Entertainment Distribution (DMED) brings together the Company’s best-in-class product, technology, and commercialization teams together into one global organization. DMED is responsible for the P&L; management and all distribution, network and engineering operations, sales, advertising, data,

and certain key technology functions worldwide for the Company’s content engines. DMED also manages operations of the Company’s streaming services including Disney+, Hulu, ESPN+ and Disney+ Hotstar; and domestic broadcast and cable television networks.

How will you contribute to our magical experience?

The prime objective of the role is to manage group’s tax affairs in Argentina and Southeast LATAM (Bolivia, Paraguay, and Uruguay). As a key member of the Tax Function, Sr. Manager will be responsible for the overall management of tax affairs ensuring that Disney tax strategy is followed in the region, ensuring a strong compliance environment with robust processes in place.

The Tax Sr. Manager will be responsible for:

Tax compliance - Actively manage Indirect & direct tax compliance (Federal, Provincial and Municipal taxes) ensuring tax returns and payments are completed on time.

Tax monitoring tools - ensure tax compliance monitoring tools is maintained and kept fully up-to-date in relation to all relevant companies and taxes.

Transfer Pricing - Actively manage the overall transfer pricing and country by country report processes with corporate tax teams and external advisors, ensuring transfer pricing reports and returns are completed before on time.

Tax business partner - Advise business units and senior Tax management on tax matters impacting operations, new businesses, new contracts, including researching technical tax issues, developing solutions and/or structures to address any potential tax concerns or exposures, drafting technical memoranda to support such positions. Support successful M&A; (Merger and acquisition) processes.

Tax Risk Management - Design and implement tax strategies to deal with potential tax discussions with Fiscal Authorities, fiscal audits, and tax assessments, identifying,

monitoring, and managing tax risks (direct and indirect taxes), analyzing provisions, and documenting the risks to validate the provisions (FAS 5, FIN48, tax audits quarterly reports).

Tax reporting and accounting - Preparation/completion of quarterly tax reporting packages ASC 740, ensuring that tax numbers are accurately reflected in US GAAP and local books.

Tax technology - support tax technology projects, standardization of e-reports and Tax solution, standardization of tax processes in SAP, reviewing integration with other towers.

Tax Function - Ensure that LATAM Tax Head and Tax Tower are fully apprised of all developments in the region, keeping technically up-to-date with direct and indirect taxation developments in relevant countries.

What we need from you be part of this story:

Public Accountant degree (Master in Tax is a plus)

Professional Tax experience in multinational companies.

High technical tax knowledge and expertise.

Strong accounting and tax provision knowledge.

Advanced skills in the use of tax technology would be desirable.

Communication skills / Proactivity and flexibility / Leadership skill / Team player with excellent interpersonal skills / Analysis / problem solving.

SAP Knowledge (is a plus)

Advanced level English is a must.

Intermediate level of Portuguese would be desirable.
