We’re seeking a highly motivated individual with a record of strong performance for a Product Management role leading competitive strategy for Medtronic’s Aortic Business. 

For this high profile position on the Aortic Global Marketing Team, a successful candidate will be tasked with developing a competitive strategy framework that will enable Medtronic to effectively manage competitive threats




As the Competitive Strategy Marketing expert, you will work closely with other downstream aortic Product Managers to support the clear articulation of Medtronic’s value proposition, and develop programs geared toward ensuring Medtronic remains the marketplace leader. At the same time, you have ownership for all aspects of product marketing, execution, and sales support globally for ancillary devices in alignment with our business strategies.

This role will require the ability to work well with a diverse group of global partners, partnering with both individual contributors and various levels of management of internal functions, including but not limited to: Sales, BU/Regional Marketing, Supply Chain, IT, Corporate Strategy, Business Development and Finance. The Product Manager will provide solutions to a wide range of difficult problems. The right candidate for this job must demonstrate the ability to work under only general direction and will independently determine and develop creative solutions to problems.

A Day in the Life 

• Develop marketing plans and materials that align with the strategic objectives of the aortic portfolio with primary focus on competitive strategy
• Lead competitive intelligence and competitive messaging/talk track development working closely with the Abdominal, Thoracic, and Heli-FX Product Managers.
• Support direction of product lines to ensure alignment with business conditions and customer needs.
• Work with regional Sales and Marketing in the execution of Marketing programs/launches/initiatives.
• Develop and deliver content for sales training where appropriate.
• Develop sales tools to increase sales force effectiveness.
• Manage the product lifecycle of aortic ancillary devices
• Liaise with internal customers (sales, clinical, regulatory, R&D;, etc.) as well as external customers (physicians) on endovascular portfolio of products in development.
• Act as Marketing representative on various Core Teams 
• Engage with physician customers by attending conferences, delivering presentations, and attending cases periodically.
• Drive brand messages and communication through internal and external communications.
• Perform other marketing responsibilities as required.
Must Have: Minimum Requirements

•Bachelor Degree
•7+ years of experience in a marketing, sales, sales support or technical role (5 years with Masters)
•Experience with project and/or program management

Nice to Have:

•MBA
•Product Management experience 
•Field Sales experience preferred 
•Healthcare industry experience in medical device or pharmaceutical 
•Clinical/technical understanding of vascular medical device/technology. 
•Previous experience interacting with internal teams, a global sales force, senior management and customers.
•Ability to synthesize and simplify clinical data and technical information.
•Experience with Sales and Marketing processes and systems, preferably in medical device industry
