Buffa Sistemas is in the search for a Business IS Engagement Manager for
work in a major company.
The BEMs serve as the face of IS for our business colleagues, continuously
advising them on more effective use of automation. They have the ability to
engage in business strategy conversations, possess a thorough understanding of
the global IS technical strategy as well as development processes and can
adeptly drive adoption of global and common solutions or development of custom
solutions to address critical business needs. Key areas of accountability
include:
Solutions:
·
Partners with Country Managing Director, Division Management and Local
Business Unit Management Teams to qualify and prioritize demand
·
Recommends delivery of business processes/projects supporting IS
systems/projects to the divisional organization, resulting in improved
efficiency, effectiveness, quality and/or operational functionality. IS
Delivery:
·
Monitors delivery of IS service/support within the Local Division in the US
supporting execution of requirements within budgeted costs and time schedule.
IS Delivery:
·
Monitors delivery of IS service/support within the Local Division in the US
supporting execution of requirements within budgeted costs and time schedule.
·
Ensures effective interfaces between local/corporate IS teams for all IS
activities and, where required, monitors adherence to agreed service level
agreements, ensuring that agreed time, budget, and quality specifications are
met.
Stakeholder Management:
·
Executes as the single IS interface to the Division Management team in the US,
supporting and building satisfaction with IS services by assessing
expectations; making sure actions are taken to close any gaps; and influencing
divisional stakeholders perceptions of IS service.
·
Manages relationships with Senior Executive Stakeholders (Internal to IS or
Customers from the business) to update status, resolve issues, and manage
expectations.
IS Strategy:
·
Contributes to the development of the IS Strategy and Enterprise Architecture
for the Division aspects, if requested.
Governance:
·
Executes, for assigned tasks, all actions in IS processes according to agreed
RACIs and LEC specification.
Processes:
·
Collaborates with Business Process Owners of the Division in the US to map
business process demand to existing or new IS solutions.
·
Supports the installation / management / maintenance / optimization of
internal IS and cross-functional processes related to IS Service delivery or
IS Service demand in the Division.
·
Influences the IS organization to ensure cost-effective business process
improvements.
·
Transactional Manager for all local IS resources.
IS Standards:
·
Proactively develops and maintains appropriate IS competence within the
Division in the US, ensuring alignment to given IS goals, and compliance with
ABB IS Enterprise Architecture, any relevant IS Standards and any other
applicable ABB Group Directives and ABB Group Guidelines.
Budget:
·
Builds budget for IS spend for the Division in the US, in alignment with the
Global Business Engagement Manager and the US Senior IS Leadership Team.
Incident, Change, or Project:
·
Consults and provides input for any incident, change or project which has, or
might have, a major impact on the Division in the US, and/or on the whole of
IS.
·
Informs/consults relevant IS colleagues on any change or project activities
which may have a major impact on the others' area(s) of responsibility.
People Leadership and Development:
·
Collaborates with the Region Senior HR Business Partner, Americas to ensure
that the area of responsibility is properly organized, staffed, skilled and
directed.
·
Guides, motivates and develops direct and indirect subordinates within HR
policies, for the benefit of both ABB and the employee.
·
Maintain a business oriented and customer-focused team.
·
Build network of trust and collaboration within the assigned Division and
Global IS organization
·
Provides leadership, coaching, direction, establishes goals and standards of
performance, and promotes team-building.
·
Fosters and maintains productive working relationships with managers of
operations, customers and suppliers in order to anticipate and effectively
respond to strategic and operational requirements.
·
Influences the IS organization to ensure cost-effective business process
improvements.
·
Leads continuous business process improvements.
·
Establishes, develops and sustains a productive IS team
