Role Summary/Purpose: The “Full Set Project” Site Manager is responsible for
the coordination and completion of the Site Works in accordance with the
overall targets (Safety, Quality, Cost and Delivery) defined for the Project
and in line with the technical specification of the Contract. He is also the
local point of Contact with the Customer
Essential Responsibilities: Site execution
Responsible, by delegation of Project Director or Project Manager, for
implementing the whole scope of Site Works from mobilisation to acceptance by
Takes immediately all necessary actions and decisions to ensure Safety,
Quality, Delivery and Cost performance on Site.
Responsible for managing the risks and opportunities on Site giving
consideration to the Schedule, Quality and cost constraints imposed by the
Contract. Ensures that any deviations from contractual conditions are
escalated to the Project Manager/Project Director as needed.
Ensures that all key information for Return Of Experience (ROE) are collected
during execution of Site Works. Prepares at the end of Site Works a
comprehensive end of mission report to feed ROE process.
Site execution strategy
based on an in-depth knowledge of the contract, develops and
implements with the Project Manager/Project Director the strategy for
execution of Site Works in
order to achieve the project goals.
Site Organisation
Plans the necessary resources for the execution of the Site Works. Organises
the Site Team and ensure that each team member has clearly defined roles and
responsibilities, interfaces are clearly defined and employees are trained and
empowered to carry out their job.
Creates a team spirit. Optimises resources between various sites.
People Management
– Lead and manage the team to ensure performance standards, annual
objectives, policies and procedures are met
– Ensure the team has the right level of know-how and competency to perform
their responsibilities through coaching and development
– Regularly manage and review performance of employees according to Alstom
Performance Management cycle (PMC)
Qualifications/Requirements: Educational Requirements
Engineer degree or at minimum Bachelor of science degree or equivalent
Spanish Fluency
Basic English
EHS Internal qualifications
-Training on AIEP
-All relevant qualifications ( ESA, SF6, …)
-Local qualification according to regulations
Additional Eligibility Qualifications:
Desired Characteristics: Desired Knowledge & ExperienceBackground in civil
works, electrical works and commissioning.Strong interpersonal skills12 to 15
years of Site experience including projects.Strong organisational capacity and
scheduling experienceProven experience to handle tough negotiations with
subcontractorsProven experience to make decisions in a fast moving high
pressure environment where decisions shall bemade fast.Driving toward results
and implementation of tight time schedules including shifts.Experience of
international projects and management of international/multicultural teams.
