The Team
Are you interested in making an immediate impact? As member of the VSS team
you will have the opportunity to influence and drive our strategy / engagement
with our end customers across LATAM. Collaborating with our Technical
Marketing team and various account teams your challenge will be to delight our
customer and partners while increasing market share.
Role & Responsibilities
In this highly visible role as a BDM you will:
– be in charge of implementation of our business strategies and goals at each
of your assigned accounts
– provide analytical market feedback to product management on requests for
new product features and competitive threats
– provide leadership of new product introductions at your accounts by
collaborating with Technical Marketing Engineering and program management
– and ultimately be responsible for the Make the Quarter sales objectives
Minimum Qualifications
– The position requires a strong ability to bring people together from across
the company to accomplish a wide range of strategic and operational programs.
He/she must be able to balance strategic thinking, detailed planning, balance
execution of many programs at one time, and maintain a consistent metrics
cadence. The candidate must be a strong communicator, manager and cross-
functional leader.
– Minimum of 4-6 years of experience in the high-tech industry, and at least
2-4 years of experience in business development, or product management;
– An understanding of Content & Service Provider business models, networks,
and architectures
– A good technical understanding of latest video technologies and industry
Desired Skills
– Demonstrated client relationship skills. Record of developing collaborative
working relationships with all levels from engineer to VP-level executives
– Individual must have demonstrated the ability to effectively persuade
sales, business and technical decision makers to make investment in new or
emerging solutions or business models
– Strong written and oral communication skills. Written communications
include PowerPoint presentations and vertical documents (word and email).
– Oral communication skills should be demonstrated in delivering
presentations to C-level business executives and also facilitating more
interactive business discussions with those executives (project scoping, deal
negotiations, problem resolution, etc.)
